Gone To Carolina In My Mind

In late fall of last year I took a trip to the Wilds of North Carolina with my dear friend Mindy Crawford.

We traveled from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Brevard, NC. Many interesting stops along the way. And for all of you out there that have been to the Wilds - YES - We hiked to 4th falls. It was a trip filled with memories I will not soon forget.

Enjoy the pictures!!

Mindy's trusty Saturn that hauled us there and back.

On the way to the Wilds, we stopped in Greenville, SC and picked up a friend of ours, Amber Moore. She is pictured above next to me under the big moose.

Funny Time

A classic funny time skit - "GET SERIOUS!"

Don't ask!!

The sign you read as you exit the Wilds.
What a wonderful reminder.

Great friends - Sandy & Jim Childers

Our trip ended in Center Point, Iowa - home of the Childers - where you can always find good fellowship and good cookin'. Before I left Iowa and headed back home to Appleton, Mrs. Childers made sure we both had a big cup of vegetable and beef soup for supper. YUM!

The Saturn Sky
After that trip . . . . I think Mindy is taking a look at her next Saturn!

Well, Shelli, I haven't hiked to the 4th falls (actually, I've never been to the Wilds), but I really liked your pictures. What beautiful scenery!
